Update on Council Activites

During the council conference calls two weeks ago, we set out a series of objectives. We further narrowed those objectives into near-term projects.

All councils agreed to proceed along the same basic logistical path:
1. Begin drafting documents by email and future conference calls.
2. Circulate drafts to the larger membership as they finalize.
3. Have a live meeting in DC or NYC in mid-December to hammer out final results.
4. Release results publicly.

Action Items:
Councils will begin work via conference call this week to launch their projects. If you want to participate, please contact WOMMA ASAP to have your company enrolled.

a) Begin building the WOM education and promotion resource center.

b) Creating a tool that marketers can use to justify the returns on WOM marketing to grow internal budgets, and that agencies can use to close new clients.

c) Launching the WOMMA Speakers Bureau.

b) Begin work on quantitative metrics immediately after the definitions document is stable.

a) Begin drafting the first Ethics Code for the word of mouth marketing industry.
