GoDaddy Goes Whole Hog on Word of Mouth

Sometimes actions generate more word of mouth more than words. Domain registrar GoDaddy has extended this adage throughout the company. The CEO, Bob Parsons, produces a podcast, blogs frequently, and posts comments in other blogs. GoDaddy commercials are available for download and are easy to forward to a friend. The company not only sends out a thank you email to new customers, but makes a phone call, too.

Making a phone call on a $9 purchase isn't a profit center, but it sure changes perception and gets people talking about a commodity product like Web domains.
