Ammo Marketing is looking for a first-class Account Director to join our team. Our services include consumer research, strategy and brand development, and Influencer and Experiential Marketing programs focused on generating word of mouth and awareness for products or services with a variety of target consumers. Past/current clients include Miller Brewing Co., Brown Forman, HP, Johnson & Johnson, Volvo, Yahoo!, Electronic Arts and Cadbury Schweppes; we've also worked with agencies such as Ogilvy, McCann, Goodby, Ketchum, and FCB. Projects may involve multiple partners and usually require significant client and project management skills, together with resourcefulness and creativity. Main Responsibilities:
- Main client contact on day-to-day planning and execution pre-, during and post campaign execution
- Manage various client activities including brand planning and consulting, account planning direction and strategy, consumer research, creative development and marketing campaign development and execution. This may include refinement of the existing brand mix, positioning development, and defining influencer and consumer targeting strategy
- Provide seasoned consulting on brand strategy and communication issues before, during and after campaign execution, including developing and interpreting research-based insights in partnership with Strategy team, leveraging new learning to affect strategy, launch planning and execution
- Participate in new business generation, development of research and marketing campaign plans
- Ensure successful and timely completion of projects within established schedules and budgets
- Plan, delegate, and prioritize work of account team to maximize productivity
- Manage profitability and cost accountability for both the agency and for the Client
- Approve all budgets, proposals, presentations and creative prior to presentation to client
Additional Responsibilities may include:
- Work with senior management to negotiate billing and fee arrangements with clients
- Provide leadership and guidance for team endeavors, as well as opportunities for inspiration, learning, growth and advancement among team members
- Keep team members up to date on issues affecting the business, industry and client-related topics and deliverables
Desired Knowledge/Skills:
- Account Management experience is a must
- Understanding of Brand and Account Planning principles highly desired
- Able to fully research and understand a specific target market or consumer
- Able to develop long-term brand vision and actionable strategic thinking
- Marketing agency, brand strategy, promotions or similar experience required; strong account management competencies with client facing experience and a strong service orientation
- Team management from ideation to execution, accountability for results, budgeting, scheduling, organizational and time management, attention to detail, flexibility in a cross-functional team environment and professional confidence.
- Ability to work autonomously with input from a creative team
- Ability to improvise and think creatively around tactical and strategic issues
- Interest in or experience with influencer, word of mouth or experiential marketing campaigns
- Be in tune with and passionate about popular culture
- High energy, creative, disciplined, confident, ability and desire to mentor, magnetic personality
- Entrepreneurial by nature - must be resourceful with a "can do" attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including internal communications and external reporting
- Proficient in MS Office applications, Internet search
