Director of Interactive Services - Brains on Fire - Greenville, SC

What does a Director of Interactive Services look like? Especially at Brains on Fire? Well, Daniel-san, it's like this: we're a helluva naming and identity, and we are building a helluva interactive component to go right along with that. So, in no particular order, here's the particulars:

  • You can connect the dots between the insight we do and the site architecture/content/engagement aspects of a website.
  • You can help the client/internal team to clearly state, understand and agree to the goals of the site. Yes, this is all about hitting scope-creep in the head with a bat when it rears up.
  • You are a mastermind at pricing, estimating and scoping out the project -- in phases, if need be.
  • You make our sites easy to use and navigate, making sure we don't have user burn-out on often used sections.
  • You stay on budget and on time come hell or high water.
  • On the above note, you help set timelines that are realistic, overall driving the process for our clients.
  • You can develop processes for online projects.
  • You can ID the right outside resources vs. what we need have in-house.
  • You know the ins and outs of building sites and making recommendations that drive traffic and repeat use to the site.
  • You can "talk the talk" with the technical resources that can help realize your vision. While we don't need a front line developer, we need someone who could manage a team of developers - either as internal or external best in class partners.

And if that isn't enough, you need to kick internet ass and have a working knowledge of how to manage all the aspects of an interactive project from soup to nuts. That means the technical to the people-skills. Of course, you need experience. At least five years of it will be just fine. Sound super-human? Good, that's what it takes.
