We are leading the adoption of social media in the finance industry, including blogging, consumer-generated media (CGM), wikis and other emerging Web 2.0 technologies. You can play a pivotal role in the development of new social media marketing initiatives by:

  • Working with diverse financial product groups to identify social media opportunities;
  • Proactively suggest marketing initiatives that take advantage of the fast-moving social media market and maintain our leadership position;
  • Defining voice appropriate to our brand, audience and finance products;
  • Developing content plans and themes for ongoing blog posts;
  • Coaching corporate bloggers;
  • Managing ongoing content plans with both internal/external contributors across product groups;
  • Edit/review blog posts (grammar, spelling, etc);
  • Reviewing for privacy, compliance and regulation compliance;
  • Providing ongoing guidance on Internet and Social Media culture as it develops; and
  • Lead the development of best practices that ensure continued success across the company.

You will work in a small, fast-moving dynamic team focused on social media efforts, ranging from blogging to consumer-generated marketing and other innovative strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent in Journalism, English or related degree required;
  • 8 years+ experience required writing, editing, public relations or other communications role;
  • Has worked in Internet media for a eading company (eg, Yahoo!, CNET, MSN, About.com or social media sites) preferred;
  • Proficient in HTML and CMS (Content Management Systems), preferably Moveable Type;
  • Has hands-on experience in social media, which could include profiles on leading networks (LinkedIN, MySpace, Facebook, etc) or a personal/professional blog;
  • Has played a leadership and mentoring role in the creation of compelling content for the mass-market, preferably for finance topics; and
  • Has experience working within a highly regulated industry preferred, such as Financial, Pharmaceuticals, or Government.
