Sales Director - Agency
Job Description
The Sales Director is to be the lead on the Agency Team for the Nielsen Online Business, responsible for renewals and for closing new business.
Essential Functions:
- Service, maintain and renew an assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients to learn the nuances of their businesses, understand their needs and identify additional revenue opportunities
- Continually up-sell additional products to client base
- Manage all available internal resources to ensure that revenue and customer expectations are met.
- Stay knowledgeable of all new and existing product offerings so that they are presented in an effective manner to the market
- Coordinate closely with assigned Client Service Representative to ensure clients understand and derive value from our products and services.
- Work with custom and analytics team to sell and prepare custom analyses for clients
- Engage in account planning on targeted accounts
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years sales/account management experience
- Good understanding of the media/market research industry
- Experience with online companies – preferable media related
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Good time/priority management skills.
- Reports to the VP of Sales.
Educational Requirements:
B.A./B.S. or equivalent
