Director Social Media - Catalyst PR - New York

Job Requirements

  • High level of interest digital and emerging technologies and new New Media landscape.
  • Experience in Digital PR (including Social Media outlets, e.g., blogs, communities, networks, etc.).
  • Ability to provide consumer brands social media direction
  • Understands traditional - and non-traditional â•„ PR/WOM.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Passion for consumer marketing and ability to explain developing social media trends to senior executives and staff
  • 3-6 years experience


Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Proactively pitching digital media outlets.
  • Provide strategic insight in regard to consumer brands and how they can their target audiences in new and emerging media.
  • Research, analysis and trend-spotting.
  • Campaign tracking, monitoring and reporting.
  • Participate in brainstorms, strategic discussions, departmental meeting, client presentations, etc.
