As a Community Consultant you will develop programs to help our clients address a full range of marketing issues using the Satmetrix for Community solution offering. Working with our account executives, community managers and market researchers you will apply your knowledge of marketing strategy and planning, market and customer segment analysis and our proprietary technology to create the strategy for the design and implementation of an interactive, online community. These communities include solutions for new product and messaging insights and customer feedback. They also provide our clients with a channel to engage their best customers in word-of-mouth marketing (WOM) activity through blogs, surveys, contests and other methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educate clients/prospects on our methodologies and capabilities
- Facilitate discovery meetings with new customers to develop appropriate understanding of business issues and opportunities to deliver high-impact solutions
- Develop appropriate understanding of business issues and opportunities to deliver high-impact solutions in the form of a strategic plan
- Share responsibility with Marketing clients for recommendations regarding business decisions
- Help direct the interpretation, use, and implications of consumer, marketplace, and environmental information to improve business decisions and knowledge base for future strategic planning
- Create interactive programs to capture, understand and leverage voice of the customer data using proprietary methodologies and technologies
- Provide recommendations on WOM engagement activity within the community
- Assist in preparation of work plans, including determination of project scope and approach
- Lead regular client presentations and strategic discussions
- Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams during execution against program strategy
- Collaborate with other consultants to conduct research and provide thought leadership around cutting-edge marketing concepts
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of marketing focused strategic or management consulting, agency strategy or account planning work or brand marketing experience
- Understanding of Web 2.0 dynamics, trends, applications and implications for marketers and consumers
- Ability to synthesize knowledge of the client's business and consumers to develop viable marketing strategies
- Provide on-going strategic vision for the client's online community
- Experience developing/managing to project plans (includes project scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables)
- Excellent communication experience that includes presentation and interpersonal communication to individuals at all levels
- Strong problem solving, analytic and market research skills
- Ability to take lead on initiatives and work without daily management contact
- Very high attention to detail and quality
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- BA/BS degree required

- Brand marketing experience on client or agency side (including B2B)
- Customer experience management or consulting
