With over twenty five years in entertainment, marketing and messaging L.A.S co-founded RockBill (the Playbill of the Rock 'n' Roll business) in 1980. Rockbill created and defined the marriage between R 'n' R and Madison Avenue. Some acts included Michael Jackson/Pepsi, Neil Young, Hall & Oates/Panasonic , Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Elton John, Talking Heads & Blue Oyster Cult.

In 1984 VIDEOSPEAK was established in partnership with Dr. Ernest Dichter (Founder of The Institute for Motivational Research and creator of Subliminal Seduction). VIDEOSPEAK delivered informational and brand messaging through private television systems in captive environments (train platforms. waiting lines, lobbies). Scientifically designed messages based on Dichter's studies with colors, shapes, sounds and time were designed to trigger specific human response.

As investor/producer of Broadway and off-Broadway shows L.A.S. was involved w/: LITTLE SHOP of HORRORS, OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY, SEX DRUGS and ROCK N’ ROLL and LA CAGE aux FOLLES In 1990 L.A.S. moved to Los Angeles and UNIVERSAL PICTURES . LLOYD SILVERMAN PRODUCTIONS was later established and given a production contract where he remained for six years.

SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS executive produced by Lloyd A. Silverman was nominated for an Academy Award in 1999. European master Raul Ruiz's SHATTERED IMAGE followed which opened the Berlin Film Festival in 2000 and was released by Lionsgate .
THE ARTISTS’ COLONY founded in 2000 evolved into one of the country's foremost independent film, content and market consulting incubators. L.A.S. produced film festival favorite SOLID ONES, released as A GIRL, TWO GUYS and a GUN, the ABC movie CRASHER and produced and directed the film "12". Consultancies included Saint Louis Museum of Art, Pulitzer Foundation, Washington University, USAF, The Governor of the State of Missouri among many others

comunic8 was conceived in 2006 following an assignment for The USAF . It became apparent that the skills and perspective of a Hollywood "storyteller" could provide a compelling creative edge to otherwise traditional marketing/messaging efforts. comunic8, evolved as a consortium of Hollywood and advertising "creatives" collaborating on behalf of a new community of clients messaging across all distribution platforms. comunic8 consults to corporations, governments, foundations and educational institutions. Our team has worked for the GAP, Hyatt, Merrill Lynch, Estee Lauder, Xerox, Yahoo, Time-Warner /AOL, Sony, AX, Hasbro, Wendy's, Nestle's, ConocoPhillips, Nextel, Sun, Dell, HP, and others and presently serves as creative "partner" to PopularMedia, the country's foremost viral marketing platform.

As an educator and guest speaker L.A.S. has spoken on branding, imaging and content creation in the 21st century at The White House, The Pentagon, The Weidenbaum School of Public Policy, Economics and Government, Harvard, Yale, A.F.I., N.Y.U., U.C.L.A., universities, film festivals and symposiums across the country. From 2000 until 2002 L.A.S. was Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.

L.A.S. has a B.A. in International Economics and Media from the School of Public and International Affairs at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and continued post graduate studies at The Tisch School of the Arts at N.Y.U..
